Chicken in the rough

The most authentic american diner so far, full of local heroes.
In Port Huron, just before re-entering Canada.

Ferry cross Lake Michigan

The ferry we had planned to take from Manitowoc to Ludington was full, we therefore had to speed up our schedule, and took the ferry overnight in stead. So we are due in Niagara one day early, heading for an RV camp with many facilities where we can stay put 2-3 nights. Congrats to brother Christian on his 40th. birthday today August 9th!

Yummy...

Visiting Irene

Tori, her sister Åsne and father Dag, went to canada in 1980. We visited Irene, Dag's cousin, and her father Isac. We were glad we were able to go to visit  her in Saskatoon.

Looking at photos in Irene's house

Irene actually turned 90 in April!

Here are some photos from 1980

Lake Diefenbaker birds

As you've seen, we had a great day on Lake Diefenbaker on Sunday. Here are some photos for the ornithologically interested. This islet was packed with birds.

What about Lake Louise?

We've been too busy for blogging lately, or without internet when we've had time, but tonight we arrived at a campground in Hillsboro, North Dakota, with w-fi, so we're trying to update a bit, not at all chronologically, but I hope we're forgiven.

Our last day in Rocky Mountains, we stopped at Lake Louise and went for a walk along the lake. One can understand why someone wanted to build a hotel...  It's as pretty as a postcard wherever you look!
